Next Generation Sequencing Open Day 2026
Theme: “What I wish I knew before starting an NGS project: Practical considerations for starting an NGS project”
The programme will provide a practical, end-to-end overview of what researchers need to consider before, during and after starting an NGS project.
The session will focus on the practical realities of Next Generation Sequencing, from planning and setup to execution and post-analysis considerations. Topics will include sample quality and preparation, NGS platform selection, single-cell sequencing approaches, bioinformatics planning and resource requirements, large-scale genomics initiatives and infrastructure, case studies from local research projects, and lessons learned from completed projects. - Please use the evaluation form to request an attendance certificate;
- A 75% attendance is required to qualify for a certificate;
- Attendance codes will be shared throughout the event;
- These need to be recorded in the evaluation form when requesting a certificate;
